UAE's first lady hails Mrs. Mubarak's efforts on women, children issues

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) First Lady Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak Friday hailed Egyptian First Lady Susanne Mubarak's efforts in the service of issues of women and children.

"Women for peace movement plays a key effective role in maintaining stability in the Middle East and sustains efforts exerted by world leaders to defuse crises leading up to wars," Sheikh Fatima told MENA in an exclusive interview.

Sheikha Fatima called on women in Palestinian territories and in Iraq to be steadfast and patient.

She called for spreading the language of peace and instilling the values of tolerance and peaceful coexistence into the minds of new generations instead of manifesting ideas propagating the clash of civilizations.

"The relations between Egypt and the United Arab Emirates are deep rooted and not only through this current visit but there have been sustainable contacts of the leaders of women's councils and the UAE has always been keen to benefit from experience of the Egyptian national Women's Council," asserted Sheikha Fatima.
