Inter-Arab investments exceeded $2.9 billion in 2002

Inter-Arab investments exceeded 2.91 billion dollars in 2002, against 2.64 billions in 2001, i.e. a 10% rise, said the Inter-Arab Investment Guarantee Corporation (IAIGC)
According to IAIGC's latest activity report, Saudi Arabia tops Arab investments-recipient countries with 24.6% of overall inter-Arab investments, followed by Lebanon (22.3%) and Sudan (19.5%).
Saudi Arabia is also the largest investing country, with 30.3% of the overall amount, followed by Kuwait (15.2%) and Syria (11%).
Accumulated Arab investments reached US$ 26.3 billion during the 1985-2002 period.
