Daniel Ducarme launches petition for release of Moroccan army officer detained by polisario

European member of parliament, Daniel Ducarme, a sponsor of the passport for freedom initiative that was extended to an imprisoned Moroccan army officer, has launched a petition for the release of another Moroccan army officer who has been detained for 27 years in the Polisario-controlled Tindouf camps
The petition, that considers the detention contrary to the Geneva convention, urges the European Union to undertake urgent action for the liberation of 1,160 Moroccan soldiers imprisoned for 25 years by the secessionist Polisario group in southwestern Algeria.
