Washington wants free trade agreement with Bahrain

The White House announced that the US will start negotiations to convene an agreement for free trade exchange with Bahrain.
A statement to this end said that the US will start negotiations in order to reach an agreement for free trade exchange with Bahrain, noting that this agreement constitutes an important stage to reach the objective of establishing a free trade exchange area between the USA and the Middle East, announced by the US President George Bush on May 9th.
The statement stressed that this agreement will be also used for achieving a progress towards the common objectives for attaining peace and stability in the Middle East and will contribute to "developing trade relations with a country making reforms in the Arab world." This agreement will be negotiated on the American side will be represented in the framework of the "Trade Promotion authority which was given by the Congress to President George W. Bush in the Summer of 2002. An authority which avails him to negotiate on trade agreements and submitting it to the US Congress for ratification without making amendments on its.
