Moroccan FM expected in London
Morocco-UK, Politics, 5/20/2003

Moroccan minister of foreign affairs and cooperation, Mohamed Benaissa, is expected this Monday in London for a two-day visit to the United Kingdom.

Benaissa is scheduled to hold work sessions in the British parliament with chairman of foreign affairs select committee in the house of commons, Donald Anderson, and shadow foreign secretary, Michael Ancram.

The Moroccan minister will also meet members of the executive committee of the British group of the International Parliamentary Union, speaker of the Anglo-Moroccan parliamentary group, Derek Conway, and MPs from the three major parties in the country.

On Tuesday, Benaissa will meet foreign office secretary, Jack Straw, and special representative of the British prime minister for the Middle East, Lord Levy.

Benaissa visited Washington last week and handed vice-President Dick Cheney a message from King Mohammed VI to President George W. Bush.
