Moroccan minister meets Arab human rights organization's secretary general

Moroccan human rights minister, Mohamed Aujjar, met here on Friday with secretary general of the Arab organization of human rights (AOHR), Mohamed Fack.
The two sides reviewed Morocco's progress in human rights fields and probed human rights conditions in the Arab world, mechanisms to develop them, and means to reactivate the cooperation accord between the Moroccan human rights ministry and the Arab human rights' organization.
The accord mainly aims to support the promotion of human rights and backing efforts made by the state and the civil society to disseminate human rights' culture.
Founded in 1983, AOHR calls for respect of human rights and fundamental freedoms of all citizens and residents of the Arab world.
It also defends any individual whose human rights are subjected to violations that are contrary to the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural rights and the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights.
