On Syrian Prime minister's visit to Sudan Damascus

Syria's Prime Minister Mohammed Mustafa Miro returned home on Sunday wrapping up a four- day official visit to Sudan during which he headed the Syrian delegation to the Syrian-Sudanese Higher Committee's 3rd session.

Before his departure, in a statement to the reporters, Miro, acompanied by several ministers, expressed happiness over his successful visit to Sudan during which he witnessed the development and progress in various fields in Sudan.

Miro indicated that the outcome of the Syrian- Sudanese Higher Committee's meetings was very fruitful and in the interest of the two states. He added that the two sides gave momentum to the relations of cooperation between them through activating the signed agreements and signing new ones in the fields of economy, trade, culture, and other fields.

During the Higher joint Syrian-Sudanese Committee session, Miro underlined that the meetings were a good opportunity to discuss issues and topics of interest to both states and have contributed to development of relations of cooperation with high level of responsibility.

He also added that they signed new agreements, which aim at boosting the relations in all domains, expanding the base of commercial exchange, and activating the role of businessmen and investors in both states. He also indicated that the achievements of these meetings are not only in the interest of Syria and Sudan but also in the interest of the entire Arab nation.

For his part, Mohammed Taha expressed satisfaction over the results of these meetings. He also expressed hope that these agreements would consolidate relations of cooperation between Syria and Sudan.

Agreements were signed for cooperation in the field of postal remittance, executive program for cooperation in the field of agriculture and animal resources, a memo of understanding concerning cooperation in sport field, and an agreement of certificate equalization between the two states.
