Transparency: foundation for proper government

The foundation of a sound government must be built on certain principles that would govern all operations. One of the most important of these principles is transparency.

We have spoken about the principle in the past. Now we will elaborate on what needs to be done, in practical steps, to put it into effect.

One such measure, would be to require government documents to be made available to the public. Exceptions being the practical issues such as national security, and privacy. Strongest safeguards would be added to prevent government abuse of the exceptions.

Another measure would be to require, similarly, that all government meetings, be made available and open to the public. Similarly, practical limitations would be addressed. But the spirit of this principal would be most vigilantly guarded and supported, as it one of the most important principals for the foundation of a sound government.

With these principles enshrined in the law, or much better, in the constitution, a government that observes these principals, and actively guards and promotes them, is a government that puts into play the motivational forces that would guide the other forces in the multitude of areas to insure maximum potential for development.
