Al-Itihad: Saddam Hussein's daughters want to be identified by the Coalition forces
Iraq, Politics, 5/14/2003

The al-Itihad paper of the Kurdistani National Federation party said yesterday that daughters of the toppled Iraqi President Saddam Hussein are willing to let the coalition forces know about the place where they stay.

A source at the central press office of the Federation party said to the paper that Saddam Hussein's daughters contacted via a third party Jalal al-Talibani, the leader of the party and asked him to protect them as they intend to let themselves be known by the US-led forces through him.

The paper said that Jalal al-Talibani expressed his readiness to receive them and to mediate on their behalf.

The source, on the other hand, stressed that Talibani had received no written message from Saddam in contrary to news quoted by certain media. The Iraqi president has three daughters: Raghad, Rana and Hala.
