Palestinian official statement on the Road Map

The Chairman of the Political Committee at the Palestinian National Council, Abdullah Al Horani has stressed that the Road Map ensures what is called the Israeli security while it ignores the Palestinians' security and stability.

In comments to London radio broadcast yesterday, he stressed that US Secretary Of State Colin Powell' s visit to Israel has not come out with consequences that serve the Palestinian interest.

He also asserted that "the Palestinian Authority has become weak in the face of the Israeli hegemony which is backed by the United States and works only in line with the Israeli interest."
