Syrian PNF meets on conditions in Iraq, ME peace

The Central Leadership of the Progressive National Front in Syria held a meeting on Saturday evening chaired by the Vice- President and the Deputy Chairman of the PNF Zohair Masharqa.

Members of the leadership listened to a comprehensive political report by the Deputy Premier and Foreign Minister Farouk al- Shara on the current conditions in the region, the outcome of the war on Iraq, and the situation in the Palestinian territories.

The leadership reviewed the political activities Syria has carried out on regional and international levels in respect with her opposition to the war and her belief in peace according to principles of the international law and resolutions of the UN Security Council.

Members of the leadership expressed high appreciation for the distinguished role President Bashar al-Assad plays in this connection.
