Canadian MPs in Morocco May 10-12
Morocco-Canada, Politics, 5/10/2003

A delegation from the Canadian House of Commons' permanent committee of foreign affairs and international trade will visit Morocco May 10-12, the Canadian embassy announced in a release.

The delegation, led by head of the committee, Bernard Patry, and made up of ten deputies, will pay this work visit in the framework of a study initiated by the committee on Canada's relations with Muslim communities, aimed to elaborate appropriate recommendations to define the country's foreign policy in the field.

The committee will first hear from concerned Canadian citizens, especially those representing Muslim communities, academics and specialists of the situation in the Middle East.

It will then move to New York, Morocco, Britain and France for meetings with specialists in Islam issues. It will also tour southeastern Asian countries next fall.
