Iraq: Three were killed in an American helicopter clash

An officials at the US defense department said yesterday that three persons were killed and a fourth wounded in an American Black Hawk crash in Tigris River to the north of Baghdad, noting that there is no evidence that the plane was exposed to hostile fire.

The official who asked to be anonymous explained that a preliminary report revealed that the helicopter fell in the Tigris river near Sameraa city. He added "there were three persons killed and a fourth wounded, according to preliminary information."
