World Health Organization: The Mediterranean is free of SARS

Regional Director of World Health Organization, Hussein Abdul Razzaq Al-Jazaari has asserted that Syria is free of the Sever Acute Respiratory Syndrome, SARS.
He appreciated Health Ministry's preemptive procedures since last March for maintaining Syria free of SARS.
In a statement here on Friday to SANA correspondent in Damascus, Al-Jazaari said that the adopted procedures in airports, borders and in hospitals are distinguished, correct and ideal and they are identical to the WHO recommendations and advices in this regard.
He lauded the continuous cooperation and coordination between the WHO and Health Ministry concerning the disease development in the world.
He stressed that all the East Mediterranean states are free of SARS.
