Fire and explosives attacks renew in Ein al-Helweh camp, south Lebanon

The fire opening and explosives series in Palestinian refugee camp of Ein al-Helweh in Southern Lebanon continued yesterday for the second running day.

Palestinian sources in the camp said that a machine- gun fire had targeted Thursday midnight a center that belongs to the Fatah movement at al "al-Tahtani street" supervised by Lt. Muhammad Abu al-Meija and that members of the center retaliated to the fire but no casualties were reported.

The sources added that at 3 a.m. at dawn yesterday, two dynamite small truck went off, the first was placed in Teitaba quarters near the Palestinian woman federation center and the second was placed at the social care center, both supervised by the Fatah movement. The damages were limited to materials.

Ein al-Helweh camp is the largest among the 12 Palestinian camps in Lebanon. It is populated by 70,000 Palestinians.
