Siaset Rose: Support for Syria's ME stances voiced
Syria-Iran, Politics, 5/9/2003

The Iranian Newspaper Siaset Rose has praised Syria's "brave" stances in defending causes and rights of the two Arab and Islamic worlds including the Palestinian and the Iraqi issues.

In a report published in Tehran yesterday, the newspaper praised Syria's stance in unifying the Arab and Islamic ranks and realizing the just and comprehensive peace in the region in a way that ensure the restoration of the Arab occupied lands in line with international resolutions and Madrid Council for Peace, and with regard to the principle of "Land for Peace."

The newspaper hailed the diplomatic and political efforts exerted by Syria in solving foreign challenges.

It underlined that the project Syria submitted to the UN Security Council on the disarmament of the Middle East from the mass destruction weapons including the disarmament of Israel is a positive project that reflects Syria's honest intention to change the ME into a region free of mass destruction weapons.
