Morocco's premier ends visit to Mauritania

Morocco's Prime Minister Driss Jettou ended on Wednesday a two-day official visit to Mauritania during which he co-chaired with Mauritanian peer Cheikh El-Afia Ould Mohamed Khouna the high joint commission 3rd session.
The two sides struck a cooperation accord between Morocco and Mauritania Interior ministries, a tourism accord, a cooperation protocol in the insurance sector and a youth and sports application program for 2003-2004.
They also signed an application program in cultural cooperation for 2003-2005, a cooperation health accord and a cooperation program in craftsmanship realms.
Jettou was received earlier in the day by Mauritanian President, Mu'aweya Wild Taye'.
Morocco's Foreign Affairs and Cooperation minister, Mohamed Benaissa, who took part to the joint commission's 3rd session, highlighted both states' "convergence of views" on various issues.
Benaissa told MAP that he had consulted with his Mauritanian peer, Mohamed Ould Tolba on issues related to bilateral relations and the recent developments in the Maghreb region and the Arab world.
Both sides convened to carry on bilateral consultations and work together to meet the current challenges posed by the decisive juncture which the Arab world is experiencing.
