Lebanon: An attack on western missionaries resulted in death the executor

The police said that a man placing an explosive on Tuesday evening in front of the house of a missionary couple from the Western Anglicans in Tripoli in North Lebanon was killed in the explosion.

Preliminary news for the investigation said that the man was killed because of the explosion which made damages in the kitchen and the bedroom in the missionaries flat in al-Qubba area, a main premises for some religious extremists.

The couple, a Dutch named Jacob Jakarta and his German wife were living with their three children in this first floor flat in a building at Avecine ( Ibn Sina) quarters. the source said however, the American Anglican missionary Bonny Binner ( 31 year old) who was married to the British was assassinated by bullet on October 21, 2002 in Sidon, in south Lebanon.
