New Saudi cabinet ministers take oath before King Fahd

Some 27 Saudi Cabinet ministers on Sunday took their oath before the Saudi King Fahd Bin Abdul Aziz to be loyal and committed to their king and country and not to disclose secrets of the state.
The ministers, led by the minister of the interior Prince Nayef Bin Abdul Aziz and the minister of the municipal and rural affairs prince Mut'ib Bin Abdul Aziz and the foreign minister prince Faisal Bin Abdul Aziz, the minister of state prince Abdullah Bin Fahd.
The Saudi official news agency said on Sunday that the ministers and the princes "were honored to have taken their oaths before King Fahd Bin Abdul Aziz at al-Yamama palace in Riyadh" after they were appointed to their posts following the launching of a royal decree provided for a new Cabinet last Wednesday, and in the presence of the Saudi crown prince Abdullah and the defense minister prince Sultan Bin Abdul Aziz.
The Saudi government has not changed since 1975 until 1995 when a law was ratified for ending the term of the government spontaneously every four years. A governmental reshuffle was held, according to this law in 1999.
