Jumhuriate: Turkey for closer relations with Syria

Turkish Jumhuriate newspaper stressed yesterday the importance of boosting the relations between Syria and Turkey due to Syria's importance for Turkish overture to the Middle East and the Arab states, and a vice versa.

The newspaper underlined editorially the important outcome of the Foreign Minister, Abdullah Gul's visit to Syria stressing that this visit will be the beginning of an important development in the relations between Syria and Turkey within the few coming months.

It also added that the there will be bilateral meetings in the forthcoming stage aiming at developing commercial, tourist, and economic relations between the two countries.
