Social consensus marks May day in Morocco, press

May Day in Morocco is marked this year by a social consensus built following the comprehensive agreement struck by the government and its social partners (trade unions and employers) on Wednesday, write on Thursday Moroccan dailies.
"Le Matin du Sahara et du Maghreb," pro-government, notes that the conclusion of this accord is per see "a victory for the unions" and "precious present for workers on May Day."
"Al Bayane," daily of the Progress and Socialism Party, in government, calls upon workers to carry on their struggle, within an organized framework, to materialize their claims, and consolidate genuine democracy and social justice.
In an editorial titled: "The struggle goes on," "Liberation," of the Socialist Union of Popular Forces, government, wrote that "1st of May 2003 has a different taste due to the birth of the Democratic Labour Federation that ushers in a stage in union struggle."
"Attajamu" daily, of the National Independents' Party (RNI), government, writes that "while the unions are voicing their optimism as their social claims, their cautioning against the creation of others unions."
