Washington recommends US not to head for Saudi Arabia
Saudi Arabia-USA, Politics, 5/2/2003

The US Department Of State has warned American citizens yesterday from "unnecessary" trips to Saudi Arabia, where there is a prevailing conviction that terrorist groups "reached the final phase" of preparing for operations against the American community.

This warning came after one American was wounded Wednesday in a Saudi naval base by the bullets of an unidentified persons and after the issuance of a similar memorandum also on Wednesday by the American embassy in Riyadh.

Between 30,000 to 40,000 Americans are currently living in Saudi Arabia against 60,000, ten years ago.
