US soldiers attacked and wounded in al-Falouja

Seven American soldiers suffered wounds in al-Falouja area to the west of the Iraqi capital Baghdad from an attack by unidentified persons who fired mortars at one of the camps of these soldiers. News reports said that the American soldiers are besieging al-Falouja to carry out mopping up operations in search of attackers.

The reports said that al-Falouja ( Ayan) ( senior figures) was due to hold a meeting yesterday evening to discuss ways of dealing with the American forces who killed Iraqi civilians several days ago.
