Britain resumes diplomatic activity in Iraq after 12 years

The British foreign office secretary Jack Straw said yesterday that Britain will resume diplomatic representation in Iraq for the first time in 12 years as from the beginning of the weekend.
In a press statement, Straw said "It please me to announce that a team of British diplomats will head for Baghdad by the weekend to open an office in Baghdad."
