Iraqi refugees in Norway to return back home

Norway announced yesterday that some 3500 Iraq refugees who do not have residency documents are facing expulsion shortly from the kingdom to Iraq.

Norway's minister of Local Government and Regional Development, who is in charge of refugee affairs, Erna Solberg, called in a statement to the "Aftinposten " daily all the Iraqis who do not have residency document in Norway to leave the country quickly. She added if they do not leave, Norway's authorities will take measures to repatriate them to their country.

The minister considered that concerning this situation, which she described as secure in Iraq, the return back of the Iraqi back home has become imperative.

According to the Norway's migration authorities 17,000 Iraqis are living in Norway, 3500 of them do not have residency documents.
