A Palestinian Youth Dies of Wounds in Rafah, IOF Imposes a Curfew on Qalqilya City

The Palestinian governmen said Sunday that a Palestinian civilian youth died early Saturday of wounds he sustained on 20th April by Israeli occupation forces (IOF) during the bloody aggression on the city of Rafah, south of Gaza Strip, Palestinian medical sources said.Ê

The PNA said:
Khaled Mohamed JarboaÕa, 24, died of critical wounds he sustained a week ago, the sources added.

Meanwhile Israeli occupation forces continued to close Salah El-Din Street, which links the northern governorates of the Gaza Strip with the southern ones, Palestinian security sources stated.

Eyewitnesses testified that the Israeli occupation forces are hindering the Palestinian vehicles traveling from Gaza to Khan Younis and Rafah cities and kept Abu Holy and Al-Matahen military checkpoints closed, banning the movement of the Palestinian civilian vehicles.

In another reported aggression IOF military bulldozers came into action and razed vast swaths of Palestinian-owned lands in Al Faraheen area, east of A'bassan town of Khan Younis City, IPC correspondent said.

Two Israeli tanks supported by three military bulldozers incurred deep into the aforementioned area about 600 meters and bulldozed more than 20 Dunum of wheat, olive groves and fruit bearing trees, eyewitnesses told IPC correspondent.

The razed lands owned by Abu Anza, Abu Daqa, and Abu Latifa families.

Furthermore, IOF bulldozers leveled about 20 Dunum of arable land in east Khuzaa village of Khan Younis. The land owned by Kdiah andAbu Rjelah families.

Elsewhere in the West Bank, Israeli occupation forces amid heavy firing advanced deep into Qalqilya city Saturday night for the second time within 24 hours and confined its residents to their houses under a tight curfew, Palestinian security sources stated.

Palestinian medical sources reported that Omar Juma'a Abu Salees, 25, has been shot and wounded by the IOF soldiers as he was returning back home during the incursion.

Witnesses said that dozens of Israeli tanks and military personnel carriers stormed the city from several entrances under a cover of a hail of fire randomly fired towards the civilian houses and institutions located close to Qalqilya hospital and Arab Bank complex.

Israeli military vehicles were deployed early Saturday in the east of the city and forced the residents out of their homes, the witnesses added.

Earlier, Israeli occupation soldiers broke into a police station building and arrested two Palestinian policemen.
