Mauritania's president meets U.N. Sahara official

Mauritania's President Mu'aweya Wild Taye' met on Sunday William Swing, Special Representative of the United Nations Secretary-General for the Sahara. Swing told the press after the meeting that his visit to Mauritania is part of preparations for a report U.N. Secretary General, Kofi Annan, will make to the U.N. Security Council next May 19.
The exchange of views with Mauritanian officials is instructive, Swing said, adding he will tour all countries involved in the Sahara issue.
