Morocco invited to OECD ministerial meeting

Morocco was invited to take part in the ministerial conference of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) scheduled in Paris on April 29-30.
In its capacity as current Chairman of the G77 and of the African group at the World Trade Organization (WTO), Morocco will be represented in this conference by external trade minister, Mustapha Mechahouri, who will have a series of talks with French peer, Francois Loos and the WTO's Director General, Supachai Panipakdi.
Several representatives of countries non-members of the OECD and international NGOs will take part to this encounter that will be chaired by New Zeland's Premier, Helen Clark.
Participants will discuss preparations for the 5th WTO conference, scheduled on September 10-14 in Caucun (Mexico), progress achieved in multilateral negotiations on agriculture and public health as well as the follow-up of various international conferences on development, debt and fight against poverty.
