Al-Azhar calls for end to Anglo- American occupation Iraq

Grand Imam of al-Azhar Mosque in Egypt, Mohammed Sayed Tantawi, has called on for the withdrawal of the Anglo- American forces from Iraq and has rejected any interference in the internal affairs of the Iraqi people who have the right to self- determination.
In a statement to reporters in Cairo on Saturday, Tantawi stressed the Iraqi people's right to choosing his new government.
He stressed also the importance of combining Arab and international efforts in this direction.
He called all the human institutions to end the "miserable situation in Iraq due to the American- British occupation."
