Lebanese figures deplore American accusations against Syria

Pan- Arab Action Organization in Lebanon has stressed the importance of the Syrian- Lebanon unity of stance in facing the "Zionist enemy colonialist plans and in liberating the occupied Arab territories."

In a statement issued in Beirut, the association indicated that the US. accusations against Syria and Lebanon show the extent of the inseparability of the American and the Israeli policies in targeting the Arab nation and national and pan- Arab rights.

For his part, Deputy Chief of the Higher Shiite Council, Mufti of Ga'fari Community Abdulamir Qabalan stressed the importance of cooperation and coordination between the Syrian and Lebanese stances in facing challenges.

In a Friday prayer speech, Qabalan called on for the Iraqi unity. Lebanese religious man Mohammed Hussein Fadlallah also stressed the importance of the Syrian- Lebanese tracks' unity.

For his part, Lebanese Maronite Patriarch Nasrallah Sfair reiterated rejection of the US. accusations against Syria, stressing that Syria is a friendly neighboring country.

He added that the repercussions of war on Iraq will have many repercussions on the region.
