President of Mauritania dedicates Moroccan-Mauritanian cement plant

President Mouaouiya Ould Sid' Ahmed Taya on Thursday dedicated two industrial units in the city of Nouadhibou (northeast) including "Ciments du Nord," a Moroccan-Mauritanian cement plant.

The factory has a 4,000 ton stocking capacity, and can pack 30 tons per hour. It can meet the demand of Nouadhibou which is experiencing a construction boost, and other cities of the north.

During his visit to the site of the US$ 3 million "Ciments du Nord," the Mauritanian president voiced satisfaction over the partnership of Moroccan and Mauritanian businessmen, calling them to further enhance their cooperation.

The president also dedicated a Mauritanian $7 million company of fisheries exploitation and investment, which is targeting an annual production of 70 million sardine tins for export.
