Two Palestinians killed, Bush talks of two states, invited Abbas to visit Washington

Two Palestinian students were killed and other 12 wounded by the Israeli occupation forces which opened fire at students of one Palestinian school in Ramullah, the West Bank, while they were at the school courtyard.

More than 25 Israeli tanks and armored vehicles under the cover the military helicopters broke into the old town in Jenin and its camp, and al-Marah area and imposed curfew and opened fire intensively at the houses of the Palestinians and arrested several Palestinians including five from one family under the charge of resisting the occupation and demolished several houses.

Violent clashes took place between the incurring forces and the Palestinian youth, the Israeli side admitted during it of the wounding of one soldier, while Palestinian security sources said that several Israeli soldiers were wounded in the ambush installed by Palestinian resistance against of the Israeli armored force which broke into the city.

The Israeli forces reinforced its security measures at al-Mahd church and the surrounding of the old town in Bethlehem and imposed restrictions on the entry to the church for fears of confrontation during prayers tomorrow. The Israeli forces also arrested more than 16 Palestinians during the campaigns of breaking in which covered yesterday Jenin, Bethlehem, Balata camp, Toulkarem and Nahhalin village in the West Bank.

In retaliation to the Israeli aggressive practices, the Palestinian resistance bombarded the settlements of Natsareim, Ghoushe Katif in Gaza by al-Qassam missiles and opened fire at several Israeli positions in Rafah to the south of Gaza.

The Israeli foreign minister Salfan Shaloum threatened to continue the Israeli military operations against the Palestinian people, unless the new Palestinian government proves ability to control the situation.

The Orient ( al-Sharq) radio correspondent was quoted saying that the Palestinian authority is encouraging the continued operations against Israel.

On another development, while the chairman of the Palestinian Legislative Council, Ahmad Qrei, said that the designated Palestinian prime minister Mahmoud Abbas will propose the formation of his government to the council next Tuesday, called the chairman of the Palestinian Authority Yasser Arafat to launch what the so- called Road Map, immediately after forming a government in the Palestinian Authority.

In Washington, the US President George Bush announced on Thursday that the ME peace process will be accelerated after the Palestinians have chosen a new prime minister.

Bush added in an interview with NBC that the only way to reach peace between the Palestinians and Israel will be through the foundation of two states living side by side, peacefully.

Bush extended an invitation to the Palestinian prime Minister Mahmoud Abbas who was described by Bush as a man of peace to visit the White House.
