3rd Arab General Conference held in Beirut

The Third General Arab Conference held its session yesterday with the participation of 350 prominent Arab personalities and the Arab communities in overseas.
This conference aims at adopting a popular and unified Arab stance vis-a-vis the current developments caused by the U.S and British occupation to Iraq.
Al- Baath Arab Socialist Party National Front Member, Muhammad Saleh Al- Hirmasi, members of the National Progressive Front participated in the conference.
The former Lebanese Prime Minister Salim al-Hoss denounced in a statement the U.S accusations against Syria.
For his part, the Secretary General of Hizbullah Hassan Naserallah delivered a speech calling Arabs to gather around Syria's pan-Arab stances because this gathering constitutes a support to Palestine and to the Arab dignity.
He stressed that the Israeli attempts to stop the heroic Intifada have failed.
He referred to the Israeli aggression and destruction against "our people in Palestine."
He concluded by calling on supporting the Iraqi people to stop their ordeal.
For his part, the secretary General of the Arab Parties' Conference, Isaac al - Farhan delivered a speech calling the Arab and Islamic countries to support Syria.
He demanded the U.N to disarm Israel of its weapons of mass destruction.
