Joumureyat: Gul to visit Syria

The Turkish daily Joumureyat said yesterday that the Turkish deputy premier and foreign minister Abdullah Gul has once again inserted in his work agenda a visit to Syria, where he will head next week. The paper said that this visit comes as Syrian- US relations have entered a new phase of flexibility.
The Turkish paper added that the Turkish foreign ministry started preparations to Gul's visit to Damascus. A visit which was scheduled earlier, but he had postponed it after having a message from Washington to this effect.
