Syria, Argentine sign a memorandum of understanding

Industry Minister Issam al-Zaeem and Chairman of the Argentine Nimra Medicaments Company, Nour Pertu Valdoza, signed in Damascus yesterday a memo of understanding wrapping up meetings on Monday.
The memo provided for the establishment of a joint facility in Syria in charge of producing drugs for cancer, diabetes, heart, and hormone diseases, radiography materials and vaccines.
The two sides agreed on cooperation in developing medical research and modernizing the drug industry in Syria.
The two officials made statements in which they stressed the depth of the Syrian- Argentine relations and the necessity of developing these relations in all fields particularly industry.
