Mubarak calls for US- British withdrawal from Iraq
Egypt-Iraq, Politics, 4/24/2003
Egypt's President Hosni Mubarak has called for the withdrawal of the American- British American forces from Iraq and to preserve Iraq's unity, security and territorial integrity.
He called for the collective Arab and international efforts to stop the state of chaos and continued deterioration of the humanitarian conditions the Iraqi people suffer from.
In a speech he delivered yesterday on the occasion of the liberation anniversary of Sinai, the Egyptian President stressed the need for the Iraqi people to choose their own government by their own. A government which runs its affairs in a context that guarantees enabling the UN to carry out its pivotal role in rebuilding Iraq and restoring back stability and international legitimacy.
The Egyptian President also called on the USA and the International community to put the Road Map for Palestine into actual implementation under a neutral international control and through a clear mechanism to declare the Palestinian state in 2005, according to international resolutions. He warned against the deteriorated conditions in the occupied Palestinian territories.
