US permit diplomats to return back to 4 Gulf states
Gulf-USA, Politics, 4/23/2003

The US on Tuesday permitted American diplomats to return back to their work centers in four Arab Gulf states which are Bahrain, Oman, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates. The non- basic diplomatic team was permitted to leave these countries voluntarily before the beginning of the war for security reasons.

In a statement, the US Department Of State explained that the decision provides for the return back of the diplomats was taken because of the need of the main fighting in Iraq, with remarked that the security condition is still cautious in the region.

The statement read that despite the fact that the threats have become less dangerous in certain areas and despite our approval on "the return of our teams to their work places," and although main fighting had finished, a conclusion should not be made that every thing is back to normal.
