Lahoud: Syrian- Lebanese relations are strategic

Lebanese President Emil Lahoud asserted yesterday that the U.S accusations against Syria and Lebanon, which are motivated by Israel, are baseless. During a meeting with an informational delegation from Finland, Lahoud called on the U.S.A to recognize that the stability in the region can't be achieved unless just and comprehensive peace prevails and with the stability in both Lebanon and Syria.

Lahoud indicated that the destiny of Syria and Lebanon is to confront the current and coming challenges. He appreciated Syria's sacrifices to restore the security and stability to Lebanon.
