Jordan-Iraq, Politics, 4/23/2003

The Jordanian government has decided to reopen its embassy in Baghdad within the few coming days.

Jordanian foreign ministry sources said that the Jordanian ambassador to Iraq Fakhri Abu Taleb will leave for Baghdad shortly to resume his works and follow up cases of scores of Jordanian citizens who are in difficult conditions as a result of the American- British invasion of Iraq.

Diplomatic sources in Amman said that the Jordanian embassy in Baghdad was exposed during and after the American- British invasion to looting attempt, however, certain administrators at the embassy prevented the looting.
