Egyptian support for the Syrian initiative over mass destruction weapons

Former Egyptian Chairman of the Atomic Energy Committee, Fawzi Hammad stressed yesterday his country's support to Syria's draft resolution that was submitted to the UN Security Council concerning freeing the region from mass destructive weapons.
Hammad called on the international community to force Israel to stop its nuclear program and to join the Non -Proliferation Treaty, stressing that Israel is the only state in the region that possesses a nuclear and chemical arsenal that threatens the safety and security of the region.
