On Mousa's visit to Syria

Secretary General of the Arab League, Amr Moussa underlined yesterday that the meeting with Syria's President Bashar al-Assad dealt with the situation in the region and the role of the Arab League.
In a statement to the press, Moussa stressed that the situation in the region requires consultation asserting that developing the Arab League needs an Arab interaction.
Talks with president Bashar al-Assad dealt with the latest developments in the Arab region particularly in Iraq, and with Arab League's efforts that are supposed to be exerted in order to help the Iraqi people to over come their crisis and to preserve Iraq's integrity, safety and unity.
He pointed out that his talks with Foreign Minister, Farouk al-Shara dealt with the latest developments in the region in an attempt to reach a unified Arab stance to face of the current challenges.
