Syria, France for boosting higher education relations

Syria's Higher Education Minister Hassan Resheh discussed yesterday in Damascus with the French Arab Solidarity Association Chairman Lucien Peterlien the scientific cooperation relations between Syria and France in the fields of higher education, scientific research, universities and higher institutions.
The minister reviewed during the meeting what has been achieved of serious steps according to the Ministry's scheme, particularly the Administrative development, the establishment of the National Institution for General Administration in cooperation with the National School for Administration in France.
Resheh talked about the Virtual University in Syria which is considered as the first of such universities in the region.
He referred to the Open Education system, private universities, the future plans of the ministry in the fields of developing the Syrian universities and institutions as an implementation of President Bashar al-Assad's directives.
For his part, Peterlien expressed his readiness to participate in boosting this cooperation through the French Arab Solidarity Association.
