Al-Shara gets a telephone call from Papandreou

Deputy Premier and Foreign Minister Farouk al-Shara on Monday received a phone call today from his Greek counterpart George Papandreou whose country heads the European Union.
Talks during the phone call concentrated on the Iraqi Issue and the necessity for increasing the international efforts to keep on the Iraqi territorial unity and sovereignty. For his part, Papandreou expressed his country's and the European Union's appreciation to Syria stressing their support to the Syrian position.
