Moroccan journalist prevented from leaving country to respond to slur lawsuits, minister says

Morocco's Communication Minister and Government Spokesman, Nabil Benabdellah, said on Thursday that Moroccan journalist, Ali M'Rabet, was prevented from leaving the country in order to secure his presence in lawsuits lodged against him.
The move, provided for by the laws in force, aims to make sure that the Director of "Demain Magazine" and "Doumane" weeklies will be at the disposal of the justice to respond to slur and defamation lawsuits lodged against him in different jurisdictions of the Kingdom, Benabdellah. M'Rabet was recently interrogated by judiciary police for publishing articles that may breach the press code.
