One Palestinian killed, Israel escalates seige measures, detains two French journalists

The Palestinian Omar Abu Ramadeya ( 18 year old) was killed after four Israeli soldiers beat him as he was arrested in a detention in Hebron.

The Israeli forces admitted the incident and said that Omar was strongly wounded in the head and this resulted in his death. His body was left near a fuel station in Hebron.

The Israeli forces also broke into several Palestinian homes in Jenin and Toulkarem after which they arrested five Palestinians. Other three Palestinians were arrested in Ramullah, so that the number of detained Palestinians reached 75 during one week.

News reports said that the Israeli forces tightened the closure and besieging measures of the various cities of the West Bank and Gaza and prevented the Palestinians from moving among their cities and villages which all fall under curfew.

The Israeli minister of sciences and technology announced his opposition to releasing the detained Palestinians and the Palestinian assets confiscated by the his government unless the Palestinian Intifada is halted.

The Israeli police also arrested two French journalists who arrived at al-Lid airport to investigate the difficulties facing the peace advocates who support the Palestinians in the occupied Palestinian territories.
