Spanish foreign minister to visit Syria

Spanish Foreign Minister, Anna Palacio said that she was scheduled to visit Syria in the next coming days. In a statement issued today, Palacio described her country's relations with Syria as good and founded on clear language.
She added that it is necessary to hold clear and direct dialogue with Syria and this is not new to Spain, and expressed deep concern over the deterioration of the human situation in Iraq.
