Al-Assad, gets phone call from Aznar

Syria's President Bashar al-Assad has received a phone call from Spanish Prime Minister, Jose Maria Aznar, on the current situation in Iraq and the war repercussions on the region.
Al-Assad reiterated Syria's solidarity with the Iraqi people to end their suffering, and to preserve their lands' integrity and unity. The Spanish Prime Minister stressed that Syria was and still is a friendly country to Spain. The two sides agreed on the continuation of contacts and consultations.
