Syrian Cabinet rejects US accusations as threats fueled by Israel

The Syrian cabinet has denounced the American threat and accusations against Syria that aim at weakening its steadfastness and affect its national stances and its commitment to the international law.
In a session held today under the chairmanship of Mohamed Mustafa Miro, the cabinet stressed that these accusations are a response to Israeli initiatives and they serve Israeli interests in the region -- a matter that requires Arab resistance that could confront Israeli policies aiming at seizing the wealth of the region and eliminating the Palestinian rights. The cabinet asserted the necessity for ending the American-British occupation in Iraq.
