One Israeli officer, two Palestinians killed in clashes

One Israeli army officer and two soldiers were wounded in clashes that took place yesterday between the Palestinian resistance men and the Israeli forces in Rafedya quarters in Nablus, where an Israeli armored force broke into a building in the city.

A spokesman for the Israeli army admitted the killing of one army officer and wounding two soldiers during a breaking in operation in search of wanted Palestinians.

In Nablus, one Palestinian was killed and another wounded by the Israeli forces when it broke into al-Makhfi quarters.

Palestinian sources said that Mazin Freitakh was killed by the fire of the Israeli forces which arrested Kamil Abu Hanish, the commander of the People's Front in Nablus, while one Palestinian was wounded as the Israeli forces opened fire at his car near "Teny Co Mariam" settlement.

The Israeli forces also incurred in Tammoun town and arrested five Palestinians and launched a campaign of arrest that targeted 23 persons of the citizens of al-Nasera and demolished the house of Ala' al-Natssha in Hebron while the Israeli court in al-Nasera sentenced three Palestinians to imprisonment under the charge of resisting the occupation.

In Gaza, the clashes between the Palestinian resistance and the Israeli forces at "Karne" crossing resulted in killing two Israeli soldiers and one Palestinian, while a Palestinian source stressed that Abdul Hameed Abu al-Eish ( 32 year old) was killed by the fire of an Israeli tank in Tel- al-Sultan quarters. Therefore the number of Palestinians killed since the eruption of the Palestinian Intifada tolled 2375 persons.
