Sudanese president concludes visit to Syria

Syria's President Bashar al-Assad and SudanŐs President Omar Hassan al-Bashir held yesterday a mutual meeting during which they completed their discussions regarding the latest developments in the region including the situation in Iraq and Palestine.
Talks during the meeting dealt with the Iraqi- neighboring countries foreign ministers' meeting that is scheduled to be held in Riyadh next Friday.
Talks during the meeting dealt with the latest developments in the region and the importance of intensifying efforts in facing the dangers facing the Arab nation. Talks also dealt with the importance of boosting Arab solidarity.
Talks during the meeting dealt with the bilateral relations' developments, and the achievements of the Higher Syrian- Sudanese Committee in various fields including economy, industry, commerce, and culture.
The Sudanese President left Damascus today wrapping up an official two- day visit to Syria.
Meantime, Foreign Minister Farouk Al-Shara has underlined that the talks between the two presidents dealt with the dangerous situation in Iraq resulting from the aggression on Iraq and the necessity for adopting a firm Arab stance for facing the current situation and dangerous possibilities.
"President Al-Assad and Al-Bashir bilateral meeting put a base for more contacts among Arab leaders." Al- Shara stated on Tuesday to Sudanese News Agency.
